Drop-Ins
Already on campus? Do you have a quick question or want to drop-in to have your resume critiqued? Stop by 300 Montgomery Hall to speak with a Career Center Ambassador or 335 McCain Hall to speak with a Co-op Ambassador.
- Montgomery Hall Drop-In Hours: Monday – Friday | 11am to 2pm
- McCain Hall Co-op Drop-In Hours: Monday – Friday | 9am to 4pm
- Virtual Drop-In Hours (instructions below): Friday | 11-2
*Offices are closed on University Holidays determined by the academic calendar.
To Access Virtual Drop-Ins:
- Go to connections.msstate.edu
- Click “Students/Alumni”
- Select “Current Students: Single Sign On”
- Log in using your MSU NetID and password
- If this is your first time logging in, answer the onboarding questions
- On the homepage, select “Schedule an Appointment” in the top right corner
- Select the “Join Virtual Drop-Ins | Friday 11-2” button
- In the drop-down menu, select “Career Center Virtual Student Check In“
- Click “Continue”
- Wait in the waiting room until a link appears for you to join the virtual session
- Note: You may have to wait in the waiting room for several minutes until it is your turn. Virtual Drop-Ins are taken in the order they are received. You do not have to refresh the page as the link will appear when the Ambassador is ready.
- Once the link appears, click it to join the drop-in session
Schedule an Appointment
Step 1. Log into Connections
- Go to connections.msstate.edu
- Click “Students/Alumni”
- Select “Current Students: Single Sign On”
- Log in using your MSU NetID and password
Step 2. Request a meeting with your Career Advisor
- Select the “Schedule an Appointment” tab on the top right of page
- Click the “Request New Appointment” button
- Follow the instructions and click “Check Availability”
- Select an appointment time – a window will pop-up; please include details on what you need out of this appointment and click “Submit Request”
- You will receive an email confirmation when the appointment is accepted

Student No Show Policy
At Mississippi State University Career Center, we value academic and career success. As part of our commitment to providing quality services, we have established policies to ensure fairness and effectiveness in our operations.
Effective January 1, 2024, any student who fails to attend (no show) three or more scheduled appointments with their Career Advisor without 24-hr prior notice will have their Connections appointment access disabled for a period of 30 days. During this time, students will not be able to schedule any future appointments.
This policy is implemented to encourage responsibility and accountability among students regarding their appointments. We understand that unforeseen circumstances may arise, and exceptions may be made on a case-by-case basis.
