Transferable Skills
Transitioning from the military to civilian life can be challenging, but veterans bring valuable skills and experiences to the civilian workforce. Because they know our military-connected students are already experienced in the skills they are looking for! Take a look at the list below. Consider how you sharpened these skills during your time of service and how you could articulate them to a prospective employer.

Making the Connection
The Career Center hosts the largest on-campus career fair each semester, connecting students with over 200 employers. When attending the Career Expo, be sure and stop by the Center for America’s Veterans table before checking in! At this table, you will be given a sticker (Active Duty Servicemember, Military Veteran, or Military Dependent). Wear this sticker proudly and watch the difference it makes with employers!
