Major Exploration Workshop

Still needing to choose a major? That’s okay.
This workshop is designed for students who aren’t looking for immediate answers—but are ready to learn how to explore their options at Mississippi State University.

In these interactive workshops, students will:

• Learn practical strategies for exploring majors and careers at MSU
• Discover how interests, skills, and values connect to academic programs
• Become familiar with campus tools, resources, and decision-making processes
• Gain confidence in navigating uncertainty and next steps

Each workshop also includes the opportunity to talk one-on-one with a Career Center exploration expert, who can answer questions, discuss possible majors, and help students think through career options aligned with their goals—without pressure to decide.

These workshops aren’t about picking a major on the spot. They’re about building the skills and knowledge students need to explore intentionally and make informed choices when they’re ready.
