EMPLOYER INFORMATION
No-Cost Employer & Student Engagement Events provide employers the chance to engage directly with MSU students through Resume Blitzes and a variety of career skills sessions. Whether offering quick resume feedback or leading interactive conversations on career fair preparation, coffee shop etiquette, and interviewing skills, employers help students strengthen career readiness while also increasing their visibility and impact on campus.

Preparing for Career Fairs Employer Panel (Interest Submission)
August 25, 2026 | 4:00 PM | Old Main 2180
This interactive panel brings together employers to share insights on how students can successfully navigate career fairs. Employers will discuss what they look for in candidates, how students can stand out in brief interactions, and common mistakes to avoid. Participation includes serving as a panelist, offering guidance, and engaging in Q&A with students throughout the session. Panel participation is limited, and employers will be selected based on event needs and industry representation. Selected employers will be contacted during the week of August 3, 2026.
Arts & Sciences Majors Career Fair Prep Panel (Interest Submission)
September 8, 2026 | 4:00 PM | Old Main 2180
This panel is designed specifically for students in the College of Arts & Sciences, focusing on how they can effectively prepare for the career fair and communicate their value to employers. Employers will share how they recruit from a variety of majors, highlight transferable skills, and discuss career pathways within their organizations. Participation includes serving as a panelist and engaging with students during the session. Panel participation is limited, and employers will be selected based on event needs and industry representation. Selected employers will be contacted during the week of August 3, 2026.
Resume Blitz Days
September 8, 9, & 14, 2026 | 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM | Colvard Student Union Ballroom
Resume Blitz events provide students with quick, one-on-one feedback on their resumes ahead of career fair season. Employers review resumes and offer concise, constructive suggestions on content, formatting, and overall impact. Participation includes providing feedback to students in a 10-15 minute session.
Interviewing Blitz
September 22, 2026 | 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM | Colvard Student Union Dawg House
The Interviewing Blitz allows students to practice interview skills in a supportive, low-pressure setting. Employers conduct brief mock interviews and provide immediate feedback on responses, communication style, and professionalism. Participation includes facilitating mock interviews and engaging with students during the event.
Coffee Shop Interview Etiquette
October 15, 2026 | 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM | Colvard Student Union Dawg House
This interactive session focuses on navigating informal interview and networking environments. Employers engage with students in a conversational setting while sharing guidance on professional etiquette, communication, and expectations in more relaxed interactions. Participation includes contributing to discussion and interacting with students throughout the session.
