The Supply Chain Analyst calls for someone with an accounting background and supports the Global Supply Chain with inventory tracking and reconciliation, day-to-day operations, and process optimization. This position supports the Global Supply Chain with report development, cost accounting, and process optimization. This team member helps support continual improvement of inventory management and efficient operations by executing regular detailed cost accounting reviews of the Global Supply Chain.
Supply Chain Analyst Job Duties:
- Inventory Management System Lead:
- Update and confirm accurate daily inventories in Inventory Management System (JohnGalt/Atlas).
- Manage material flags in SAP for products that are below safety stock or need pre-approval from the S&D department.

- Develop and build dashboards within Inventory Management System to aid business visibility.
- Work with cross-functional teams to provide support to the system and implement improvements to the software.
- Cost Accounting and Analysis:
- Maintain detailed cost accounting records for downstream terminals within the supply chain.
- Regularly analyze supply chain costs and allocate them accurately.
- Publish “To and Through” terminal cost allocations semi-annually.
- Analyze and track costs related to various supply chain functions.
- Budget Support:
- Assist in supporting the Global Supply Chain budget through cost accounting and financial analysis.
- Inventory Cost Projection Reporting:
- Maintain monthly financial inventory projection reports, distributing final figures to relevant departments.
- Supply Chain Coordination:
- Publish Daily Deblend Forecast Changes to supply chain and sales teams.
- Identify and reduce excess or abnormal costs at Rail Transload terminals.
- Manage and prepare customer freight reconciliations.
- Support Sales teams with inquiries related to rates and customer freight.
- Lead inventory target analysis and provide recommendations for targets across the global supply chain.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Proactively identify opportunities for process automation in supply chain costing and inventory reporting.
- Implement and manage continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency.
- Project Support:
- Provide support and analysis to projects within the Sales Operations Department that relate to terminal viability or other investment opportunities.
- Assist other projects that enable departmental growth and aid in collaboration between other teams/business units.

- Develop and maintain various supply chain Key Performance Indicators and contribute to management reporting.
Supply Chain Analyst Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field with a minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience.
- Preferably possess a background in inventory and supply chain management.
- Impeccable attention to detail with an unwavering commitment to accuracy.
- Profound analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including interpersonal skills.
- Exceptional organizational skills, adept at multitasking, and consistently meets deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, slicers, complex formulas, and macros.
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook and Word.
- Familiarity with SAP, Invoice/Billing software (OnBase/Apache), and Inventory Management Systems is preferred.
