Job Overview & Responsibilities
As a Supply Chain Intern at United Launch Alliance, you’ll gain hands-on
experience and will have the opportunity to:
Support one or more experienced business professionals in performance of
assignments, spend time shadowing actual operations, and have unique
assignments that support larger projects as well as experience the day-to-day
workings of the business side of the aerospace industry.
Assist Senior Level Business professionals with the development of procurement
processes, tools, and resourcesin support of the procurement of
specialized materials, equipment, and services.
Assist with conducting bidders conferences, analyzing and evaluating
supplier proposals, negotiation of subcontract provision, select
subcontract source, create subcontract documents and subcontracts.
Assist with coordinatingadditions, deletion, or modifications to
subcontracts as coordinated with other ULA functional areas and suppliers.
Intricate participation with subcontract compliance to ensure strict adherence
to Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR); as well asinternal ULA command
media.
Coordinate with engineering, quality, and finance as required to mitigate
supplier performance risk and resolve supplier issues in a timely manner.
Assist Senior Level Business professionals with timely resolution of issues
that arise with Quality, Receiving, Accounts Payable, Manufacturing,
supplier or any other functional area as required.
Interns may perform and/or participate in additional activities/events
which help them build a strong network within the ULA community and with
fellow interns!
Required Education
At minimum, completed Sophomoreyear of college or university by the time of
the summer internship assignment.
High School/GED
Basic Qualifications
Must have a minimum college GPA of 2.90 on a 4.00 scale at the time of
application; cumulative, no rounding. NOTE: An unofficial transcript is
required if you are invited for an interview. We recommend you upload it to
your profile when you apply.
Must have a valid driver’s license and motorized vehicle transportation if
assigned an internship in Alabama; California; Florida; or Pueblo,
Colorado. For Denver, Colorado and Washington, DC, motorized
transportation is recommended.
Role Specific Qualifications
At minimum, actively pursuing a bachelor’s degree with a focus in
Business, Supply Chain, Acquisition, Contract Management, or relevant
field from an accredited college or university.
Must have plans to be enrolled in classes during Fall Semester 2025.
Ability to work full-time for a minimum of 10 weeks during the summer of 2025.
ERP knowledge is preferred.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint,
Outlook, SharePoint).
Effective presentation, written communication, and verbal communication
skills.
Must be able to complete an internship at any of the below ULA’s locations:
Decatur, AL
Denver, CO
Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, FL
Summary Salary Range:
CO: $21.00- $30.50
Please note that the salary information shown above is a general guideline
only. Salaries are based upon a candidate’s experience and qualifications,
as well as internal equity,market and business considerations. Employees
may be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus in addition to base pay.
