>> My name is Beth Casey Balone [phonetic], and I own a consulting company that focuses on the human resources services industry. So I help small and mid size business owners with their personnel needs. It could be anything from training and developments and leadership training to executive recruiting to staff development. I'm on the phone a lot because I am doing a lot of networking. So that could include anything from doing phone interviews with candidates for my clients' openings. I also may be conducting a training class that same day, and a training class can be anywhere from two hours to a full day. And when I'm not on site conducting those trainings I am then developing the material for those trainings. So I do a lot of research, and I spend a lot of time on client sites gathering information about their culture and about their training needs so that I can develop the material that focuses on solving those problems for them. I like to have a combination of both. I think it's important to see people in action so that you're getting the feedback from the hiring managers or the line managers on what their problems are, and then observing their employees in action to find out where the gaps are. And then the training that's developed helps to fill those gaps.
