Career Outcomes

The First Destination Survey is administered to all Mississippi State University graduates each semester to capture what our Bulldogs do after graduation in accordance to NACE guidelines. The survey is administered prior to graduation and up to six months following commencement. This information helps MSU celebrate the success of our alumni, evaluate career outcomes across majors, and strengthen the programs and resources that prepare students for life after MSU.

Data in the following annual reports come from multiple sources including, but not limited to, surveys completed directly by graduates, follow-up outreach from Career Center staff through phone calls or texts, and verified information gathered from professional and social platforms such as LinkedIn. Every graduate’s response contributes to a more complete picture of the Bulldog experience and helps future students make informed decisions about their academic and career paths. If you would like to report your post-graduate plans or have your students do so, please visit our survey here.

The Career Center welcomes your help in collecting data on the first destinations of MSU graduates. Click below to download a PowerPoint slide you can share with your classroom.
